Rotterdam Tour
Today we were taken on a tour of Rotterdam in between sessions. We were meant to visit the local studios and be taken for lunch at Rotterdam's most prestigious New York Hotel. Unfortunately we spent so much time visiting their office complexe "The Creative Factory" that we never quite made it to the studios, and in fact lunch at the NY hotel meant sandwiches in a back room behind the kitchens! The place did look amazing though and in fact some of our resourceful fellow labmates went for dinner there this evening instead.
At this afternoon's session we were introduced to a really interesting set of distributors / sales agents. Marcus Hu from Strand Releasing in LA, Youngjoo Suh from Fine Cut Co in South Korea, Michael Weber from The Match Factory in Germany who distributed Waltz With Bashir and Susan Wendt from TrustNordisk in Denmark who are affilated to Zentropa and are involved in the sales of Lars Von Trier and Anders Thomas Jensen's films amongst most notable others.
